Ferries to Mull
The Isle of Mull is served by three ferry services. In order of the shortest drive to Fionnphort these are:
Oban-Craignure - 45 minutes; the easiest route from the south, and the ferry has a
restaurant on board. Get out of your car, put your feet up and enjoy the spectacular views of the Sound of Mull.
This being a larger vessel, it is easier for those prone to seasickness.
Lochaline-Fishnish - 15 minute crossing, less crowded and cheaper, but a long and circuitous
route, using other ferries to get to Lochaline. Useful as a secondary route, particularly if you can't get a
booking at a convenient time from Oban.
Kilchoan-Tobermory - a handy crossing from the north, and for those who wish to visit
Tobermory on the way.
If taking the Oban ferry we recommend booking in advance both ways, especially at peak season.
